On behalf of Council Members Stephen Levin and Antonio Reynoso, NAG invites all of our members who live in Council Districts 33 and part of 34 to be involved in the Participatory Budgeting process.
Participatory Budgeting is a democratic process in which residents decide how to spend a portion of the City’s budget. It gives real power to New Yorkers who may have never been involved in the political process before and can result in better budget decisions for our city – because who knows the needs of our communities better than the people who actually live there?!
Voting will take place Saturday, April 11th, through Sunday, April 19th. Anyone 14 years or older who lives in Council District 33 or 34 is eligible to vote.
If you need to confirm whether you live in Council District 33 or 34, or would like to find out if your local Council Member is participating in this year’s PB process, you can do so by entering your address on the Council’s website.
This is a great way for NAG members to have a real impact on the outcomes in their community.
