Can you believe it’s that time of year again? The biggest party of the year is quickly approaching!
This year has been great for us here at NAG and we would love nothing more than to have everyone out to the W Loft’s
on Nov. 16th at 7-11PM
to help us celebrate
. This year we have reached hundreds of families and community members regarding soil safety around lead, we’ve redirected usable waste from our overcrowded North Brooklyn waste transfer stations heading to dirty landfills, and more! We’ve grown our partnerships, finalized and launched our ToxiCity map
, and there is still so much more to do!
As always, we will be featuring food and open bar from local establishments, and we will be honoring a great group of neighborhood heroes and activists.
Our community hero honorees are:
– Marty Needelman, Co-Executive Director & Chief Counsel of Brooklyn Legal Services Corp A, for his commitment to tenant advocacy work
– Lisa Bloodgood, former Environmental Advisor and Community Liaison at NYC Council Stephen Levin’s Office, for her dedication to environmental improvements
– NY Waterway’s East River Ferry, for their community service in increasing transportation access
– a special remembrance of Alyssa Abeyta, a co-founder of BABAR
Beer provided by Greenpoint Beer & Ale! Mixed spirits by Brooklyn Bowl.
Food provided by Oregano, Patrizia’s, Two Boots, Chai Thai, Cafe Mogador, Brooklyn Cupcake and more…
