Food & Community! Helping never tasted so good!

We have two exciting ways for you to get involved with food & community this week: Kickstart the Northside Town Hall: Support our project with fellow local civic leader The People’s Firehouse to convert a historic firehouse on Wythe Avenue to a one-of-a-kind center for arts and community services. The Northside Town Hall Community and Cultural Center is at the tail-end of an impressive fundraising campaign on Kickstarter–but we still need your support to get us over the top of our goal so that we get all of the funds pledged.  We’re […]

The MTA Does Not Want You to Leave Brooklyn

Bad weekend for subway travel. There is no service on the L train this weekend, and the C train does not run from Brooklyn to Manhattan. Clearly the MTA wants you to stay in Brooklyn and go to TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint instead. And you have the misfortune of living in Manhattan, remember that the East River Ferry is the transportation partner for TASTE, and will be offering regular service from East 34th Street and Wall Street to Williamsburg.

Volunteer at the 2nd Annual TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint

TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint is a culinary benefit to build the Northside Town Hall, a joint project between NAG & the People’s Firehouse. This outdoor celebration of North Brooklyn’s local flavor is held rain or shine, featuring sample tastes from over 40 of the neighborhood’s best restaurants, breweries, and wineries, along with live music and more… This is one of the major fundraisers to raise $$ to build the Town Hall and WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to make it a success!
