Come out Join NAG in organizing the Greenpoint/Williamsburg Loft Tenants Association, a coalition of loft tenants and buildings within Greenpoint & Williamsburg that want to work together to strengthen tenant rights for loft tenants, fight displacement of artists, and create affordable housing in our neighborhood.
You don’t have to be a loft tenant to participate. Any community member who wants to learn more about this topic or help organize is welcome to participate. NAG wants to help everyone get involved in our community, get informed about the issues of our neighborhood, know your rights, and help organize your building or block.
Come at 730pm if you want to talk specifics about your building. At 800pm we will have a “presentation”, each month tackling topics that we think need expert clarification. 830-9pm we will end the evening with Q&A and more chatting…
**Please note. The Greenpoint Reformed Church is an amazing space that is often shared for community, music, and art events. Packed with all sorts of activities on Wednesday’s, the building hosts a weekly soup kitchen meal, is bustling with activity for the Thursday Food Pantry, and is home to several AA meetings. Typically, we will be out in the backyard. But weather and other circumstances could change our locale within the building. Look for signage pointing you our way; If you get lost, ask for Ryan!
Save the dates for upcoming meetings. June 29th & July 27th
