2015 NAG RAG: A Year of Community Advocacy and Environmental Action

The 2015 NAG RAG marks an important year for Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG), highlighting our ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life in North Brooklyn through community advocacy and environmental initiatives.

Key Achievements

  • Environmental Health: We focused on addressing soil contamination, air quality, and sustainable waste management practices in the neighborhood. Our campaigns successfully raised awareness and encouraged community participation in local clean-up efforts.
  • Affordable Housing: NAG continued to advocate for affordable housing, ensuring that development projects in the area include provisions for low- and moderate-income residents. Our efforts have led to meaningful conversations with developers and city officials, aiming to keep North Brooklyn accessible to all.
  • Open Space and Green Initiatives: The year saw significant progress in the creation and maintenance of green spaces. We organized community events, workshops, and volunteer programs to support the development of parks and recreational areas.
  • Transportation Advocacy: NAG pushed for safer, more sustainable transportation options in North Brooklyn. We worked closely with local authorities to improve public transit and promote the use of bicycles as an alternative mode of transportation.

Community Engagement

Throughout 2015, NAG organized numerous events and workshops to foster community engagement. Our efforts brought together residents, local businesses, and stakeholders to collaborate on initiatives that benefit everyone. The NAG RAG served as a platform to share success stories, challenges, and future goals with the community.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on 2015, we are excited about the possibilities for the coming years. NAG remains committed to advocating for a healthy, sustainable, and inclusive North Brooklyn. With continued community support, we look forward to building on the successes of 2015 and tackling new challenges in 2016 and beyond.

Join us in our mission to make North Brooklyn a better place for everyone!
